GTC – GCloud3 Thin Client Series

The GTC models GTC-1 and GTC-2 are both Linux based, and are designed for a desktop virtualization (VDI) environment. Complete with connectivity to virtual desktops and applications on the GCloud3 this unit offers increased flexibility and a complete desktop experience.

The GTCs are the smallest form factor thin client on the market. These energy efficient units boast the VIA Eden 400 Mhz Processor or the Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz Dual Thread Processor to offerexceptional performance and flexibility.

Assembled in the USA, these GTCs weigh just over 1lb each allowing for flexible mounting options. The GTC-2 features optional dual monitor support and both the GTC-1 and GTC-2 are internal wireless ready.

The GTCs serve to connect peripheral input-output devices – a keyboard, mouse, VGA display, and audio – along with other USB peripherals to an instance of the Microsoft Windows operating system running on a GCloud3. GTCs are also very power friendly, consuming only 3% of the energy consumed by a traditional desktop computer.

GTCs connect using standard IP communications over local area networks via an Ethernet port or optional wireless antenna making them easy to integrate into existing LAN infrastructure.

GTCs are also secure – in other words, the GTCs do not store anything at all about the user, the virtual machine, or any data used by it. This security also provides users with other flexibility: for example they can suspend their personal virtual machine attached to one GTC and then immediately resume use at a different GTC – for example when moving from an office to a conference room to make a presentation – no longer do you need to equip every user with laptops to provide needed mobility.

The clean and functional design of the GTC line of thin clients was created to help fit into modern office environments. With the optional bracket, the GTCs can be installed on to the back of any VESA compatible monitor, freeing up space on a user’s desk. The GTCs also have no moving parts, which make then completely quiet, helping to give the user a more peaceful work environment.
