Lower desktop support costs while preserving user experience

Branches and remote offices can be expensive to manage — requiring local IT presence, which can be a challenge if the staff in each location is small or if the offices are dispersed.

Traditional VDI solutions require all the servers to run in one central location, which relies on the WAN.Now with Citrix HDX integrated into the SMB Private Cloud, it allows for a much better user experience over the WAN, including accelerated graphics, redirected USB, and much more. With HDX we can optimize for end-user experience. Since the remote office workstations can be converted to thin clients, the need for on-site support and overall support is dratically reduced for remote offices.

SMB Private Cloud can work for remote offices:

  • Optimize for end-user experience. Access virtual desktops over the WAN with HDX. Drive down labor costs at remote offices by converting the workstations into thin clients.
  • Lower desktop support costs by managing centrally. Manage desktop servers centrally and limit on-site support costs. A converted workstation to a thin client can be easily swapped out by    the client and the new thin client can be preconfigured, allowing the user to immediately login. 
  • Lower infrastructure and operations costs In addition to Kaviza’s lower infrastructure costs, you can further lower costs by not having to run WAN acceleration tools since the SMB Private Cloud is integrated with HDX which allows for WAN Acceleration with out the huge expense of hardware WAN accelerators.
